Valley of Flowers

Valley Of Flowers is an Indian National Park, it is situated in the West Himalaya of Uttarakhand state. it is located in the upper expanses of Bhyundar Ganga near Joshimath in the Garwhal region. Valley Of Flowers is located in the Pushpati Valley 23 km to the North West of Nanda Devi National Park. This valley is a vibrant and splendid National Park. Valley of  Flowers is famous for it’s charming prairie of alpine flowers. Legends believe that Valley of Flowers is the place from  where Hanuman ji collected Sanjeevani buti to cure Lakshmana. This enchanting valley has pastures of large variety of beautiful flowers, running water streams and beautiful backdrop of mountains. So, if you’re a shutterbug then you’re really going to enjoy taking pictures here, or even if you are a nature lover you’re gonna love this place.
Valley Of Flowes was declared as the  National Park of India in the year 1982 and is now considered as a UNESCO world heritage site. This region is rich in varied flora and fauna. Valley of Flowers is famous for its regional alpine flowers and variety of flora, it is also a home for rare and endangered species or animals including Asian black Bear, snow Leopard, musk Deer, brown Bear, red Fox and blue sheep. birds you can found here are Himalayan Monal, Yellow Billed, Bullfinch and other high altitude birds.
Valley of Flowers is 3352 to 3658 meters above the sea level and lies between 30°41′ to 30°48’N and 79°33 to 79°46’E.  Valley of Flowers compliments the mountain wilderness of Nanda Devi National Park. It stretches over 87.50 km of expanse  and it is about 8 km long and 2 km wide. This valley has always lured botanists, nature lovers and adventure lovers due to it’s immense beauty.The park is open only during summers from June to October because it is covered with snow for the remaining months of the year. The Valley of Flowers is a high-altitude Himalayan valley.The valley consists of different colourful flowers and  as time progressed various shades also came into existence.
