Brahmatal Trek


Brahmatal trek is located in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand. This thrilling trek is famous among trekkers and is one of the popular treks. Tourists who are adventure lover and nature lover must visit this trek. Trekkers from all over the world visit this trek. The base camp of this beautiful trek is in Lohajung. And stands at an elevation of 12,100 ft. above the sea level. This trek is about 22 kms long.

Winter Trek
Brahmatal trek is a beautiful winter trek. The trail in winters is all covered with snow and the Himalayas of the Garhwal region are also snow claded which offers stunning views of the peaks. This trek is the is one of the few beat winter treks. The untouched settings of this trek makes it even more thrilling and beautiful. Because this trek is not very much explored you may hardly find any people there. The forests are also covered with thick layer of snow during winters.

Brahmatal trek offers the picturesque view of the stunning Himalayan peaks Mt. Trishul and Nanda Ghunti. On your route you will witness tourist point of attraction frozen lakes which look incredibly beautiful. You will be experiencing snow covered trails, snow covered forests and also snow covered meadows. Basically everything will be covered by snow, which makes the place look more beautiful. One sees clear blue sky, it seems like the sky is not very far away after you reach the summit.

Beliefs
According to mythology it is believed that Brahmatal is the place where Lord Brahma had meditated. And this is how the place got its name.

Difficulty & Best Time To Visit
Talking about the difficulty level of this trek, it is graded as an easy trek. Hence, this trek is best for beginners. Not only beginners but also for experienced trekkers. As this trek gives an amazing experience.
As I’ve already mentioned above that this is a winter trek, and avoid doing this trek during summers. It’s a bizarre during the summers. So the best time to visit Brahmatal Trek is from October till March. The duration of this trek is maximum of 6 days.



Trek Route Of Brahmatal Trek

To start your journey of Brahmatal trek firstly gather in Kathgodam in early morning to take ride to Lohajung. After reaching there you will be spending the night in a guest house. Next morning will be the day when you start trekking to Bekaltal which is a 8 km trek. After reaching there you will be spending the night in tents. Get up the next morning and start trekking to Khabekhal and after arriving there set up a campsite to spend the night. On the next day you move forward towards your destination Brahmatal. After exploring Brahmatal start trekking to Daldum. After reaching there retire for the night in the tents. 5th day will be your last trekking day, you will be trekking back to Lohajung. Spend the night in a guest house in Lohajung. Get up early in the next morning to take a ride back to Kathgodam and from there to your home. And the journey ends here!
