Pangarchulla Trek


Pangarchulla Trek is a beautiful trekking spot in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state. This amazing trek lies at an elevation of  14,700 ft above the sea level. Though tourists can go on this trek during any time of the year but in winters the beauty ofthis place increases. Hence one should try and go during the winter season for enjoying the snow covered Himalayan Peaks. This trek route starts from Joshimath and ends on Joshimath. Pangarchulla Peak is also known as the chimney peak. While trekking to Pangarchulla peak you will witness wide variety of flora and fauna, alpine meadows, a Ridge climb and snow covered trails. This place looks very beautiful during the winters whereas it also provides you with the picturesque view of the magnificent Himalayas.



Pangarchulla trek  can be done by anyone who is above the age of 12 years and if have some sporting abilities it is a plus point for them. People who are mentally and physically fit can only do this trek. The difficulty level is graded as moderate – difficult, therefore interested trekkers must improve their stamina and skills. The Pangarchulla trek is suitable for beginners as well as experienced and professional trekkers. But beginners and less experienced trekkers should not underestimate this trek. And must be fully prepared and mentally ready before going on this trek.
Pangarchulla trek provides you some of the amazing experiences of trekking in the greater Hiamalyas of the Garhwal region. Through your trek route you wil be experiencing change of landscapes with every uphill climb and downhill slope.  This trek passes through the beautiful Nanda Devi Sanctuary so you can witness the stunning views of Chaukhamba, Hathi Parvat, Nanda Devi mountain and many more peaks of the Himalayan Range. Youi will also be climbing a summit to Pangarchulla.

Trek route For Pangarchulla Trek


Firstly you will be gathering In Haridwar from where you will be driving to Joshimath for about 8-9 hours. You will be spending the night in Joshimath so you can start you trek from the next day. On day-2 you will be trekking towards the Gulling Top which will take around 5-6 hours. Spend the night there in tents. Get up next day i.e day-3 as you will be trekking for 6 kms to Khulara. You will be then spending the night in Khulara. On day-4 you will be trekking from Khulara to Gailgarh which is a small trek of 3 kms. Then on 5th day start trekking to reach your destination Pangarchulla Peak Summit and after exploring the summit start you trek back to Khulara. Spend the night in Khulara in tents. Day-6 will be your last trekking day, you will be trekking to Dhak Village from Khulara and then will be driving to Joshimath. Spend the night in Joshimath in the provided lodges. Gup next morning have a wholesome of breakfast and take a ride back to Haridwar and from there to your home. And the journey of Pangarchulla trek ends here.
