Auli is
small town in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state. It is also a skiing
destination for skiers from all around the world. The steep slopes of the
Himalayas makes Auli an ideal destination for skiers. This small beautiful town

The
artificial lake in Auli is one of the highest man-made lakes in the world. It
is surrounded by a beautiful location all around. This lake was basically
developed by the government. The reason was to provide snow during the monsoon
season for skiing. Artificial snow is
created from this lake so that artificial ski slopes can be developed.
Auli Ropeway
Other than
skiing The Auli ropeway is also a major tourist attraction in Auli. A cable car
which connects Auli from Joshimath is 4 km long. After the Gulmarg, it is the
highest and longest ropeway present in Asia. And is the highest ropeway of
India. This ropeway trip offers tourists the picturesque views of the
Himalayan Range of the Garhwal region.
Gorson Bugyal
If you want
to explore Auli properly and have some adventure in life. Then you should go on
a trek to Gorson Bugyal. This beautiful meadow is situated at an elevation of 3,056
meters above the sea level. It is a large meadow consisting of green pastures which
are surrounded by coniferous and oak trees. One should leave for the trek in
early morning and return by the evening.
Chattrakund
Chattrakund
is small lake which is a sweet water lake. This beautiful location is 4 km away
from Auli and 1 km away from Gorson Bugyal. It is an ideal location for
spending some good time for honeymoon couples. You can also do a small 4 km
trek to Chattrakund to explore the area.
Chenab Lake
Chenab lake
is another beautiful lake of crystalline water located near the small town of
Auli. This is another tourist attraction point of Auli. Despite of the unbuilt
path to this location, tourists still visit this place.
Nanda Devi Peak & Trishul Peak
Auli offers
the tourists the enchanting views of the Himalayas. It also provides the scenic
views of some of the highest peaks of the Himalayan range of Garhwal region. Breathtaking
views of Nanda Devi Peak and Trishul Peak can be witnessed.
Vishnuprayag
Another
place that can be visited near Auli is Vishnuprayag. It is lies on the
confluence of Dhauliganga And Alaknanda Rivers.
