As you all know that Uttarakhand is a beautiful state which is enriched with the natural beauty of the Himalayan range and meadows.  But there are still many places which are less or hardly visited by tourists. I believe majority people might not know that those places even exists. These virgin places of Uttarakhand are beautiful gifts of nature that are remained not noticed and unexplored by the tourists. I would introduce you some of the virgin places existing in Uttarakhand that are really interesting and you would want to visit.

Khirsu

Khirsu is a small beautiful hill station located in the Pauri district of Uttarakhand.  This hill station is located at an elevation of 1700 meters above the sea level. It is covered with the oak and deodar trees which makes it even more beautiful. Khirsu gives you the opportunity to experience the picturesque view of the stunning Himalayan Range of the Garhwal region. This is one of the virgin places of Uttarakhand.

Chopta

Chopta is a small town which is a part of the Kedarnath wildlife sanctuary  and is also the starting point of the Tungnath trek. This hill station is situated at an elevation of 2700 meters above the sea level. The famous Tungnath temple is located in this valley. Chopta is covered with lush green meadows  and is rich in flora and fauna. It also gives you the amazing view of the Himalayas.

Chaukori

Chaukori is another beautiful hill station located in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state. This hill station is also less known and less visited. On the northern side of this hill station lies Tibet and in the south lies Terai. People who visit this place get to witness some of the highest peaks of the Himalayan Range namely Nanda Devi Peak, Nanda Kot Peak and Panchachuli Peak. There are various temple of different god and goddesses in this region namely Patal Bhuvaneshwar, Kedar Temple, Ulka Devi Temple and many more.

Ranikhet

Ranikhet is a small beautiful hill station located in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. The name itself means “Queen’s Hills” which clearly resembles the beauty of this place. It is situated at an elevation of 1,869 meters above the sea level. The weather of this region is pleasant during summers and very cold in winters. It is also rich in flora and fauna. This place is also famous for having the highest golf course in Asia. There are many other places to visit such as Binsar Mahadev Temple, Rani Jheel, Ashiyana Park, Jhula Devi temple, etc.

Chakrata

Chakrata is a military campaign town located in the Dehradun district of Uttarakhand state. It is situated at an elevation of 2,118 meters above the level. It gives you the stunning views of the Himalayan Range of the Garhwal region. There are many tourist spots in Chakrata such as Tiger Falls, Kanasar, Chirmiri, Deoban and others.
